A baking soda water shot recipe is a simple, alkalizing wellness drink made with food-grade baking soda, filtered water, fresh lemon juice, and optional honey or sea salt for digestive comfort, acid balance, hydration, and a refreshing fizzy finish.

  • Total Time: 7 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ teaspoon food-grade baking soda
  • 8 ounces filtered water, room temperature or slightly warm
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon raw honey, optional
  • Pinch of sea salt, optional

Instructions

  1. Pour 8 ounces filtered water into a clear glass or cup.
  2. Measure exactly ¼ teaspoon food-grade baking soda.
  3. Squeeze ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice into the water.
  4. Gather optional raw honey or sea salt if using.
  5. Add the measured baking soda gradually to the lemon water.
  6. Stir vigorously with a spoon for about 30 seconds.
  7. Allow the natural fizz to settle slightly.
  8. Add ½ teaspoon raw honey if desired.
  9. Stir until the honey dissolves completely.
  10. Add a pinch of sea salt if using.
  11. Stir once more until fully incorporated.
  12. Drink immediately while the fizz is still active and fresh.
  13. Follow with a full glass of plain water for hydration.
  14. Prepare fresh daily for best results.

Notes

Use food-grade baking soda only, never baking powder. Do not exceed ¼ teaspoon baking soda per serving unless advised by a healthcare provider. Drink within 5 minutes of mixing while the fizz is active for the best taste and effect.
