- 1 large frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 handful fresh spinach
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened almond butter
- ¼ cup coconut water
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut, optional, for topping
- ½ cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Remove the frozen banana slices and frozen berries from the freezer and allow them to soften slightly for 5 minutes.
- Measure the coconut milk, coconut water, Greek yogurt, protein powder, spinach, almond butter, and ice cubes.
- Pour the coconut water and half of the coconut milk into the blender.
- Add the frozen banana and frozen mixed berries.
- Add the Greek yogurt, protein powder, and fresh spinach.
- Add the almond butter and remaining coconut milk.
- Add the ice cubes last.
- Start the blender on low speed and gradually increase to high speed over 5 seconds.
- Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
- Stop and scrape down the blender sides if needed.
- Blend for an additional 15 to 20 seconds until no visible chunks remain.
- Pour the smoothie immediately into a serving glass.
- Top with shredded coconut, fresh berries, or a drizzle of almond butter, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen banana and berries for the thickest, creamiest texture. Add liquid ingredients first to help the blender process smoothly, and serve immediately after blending for the freshest flavor.
