Ingredients

2 medium zucchinis, spiralized
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (24 oz) crushed tomatoes, no added sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional finish)

Instructions

Preheat skillet over medium heat
Add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant
Add ground turkey, cook until browned
Stir in oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
Mix in crushed tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes
Gently fold in zucchini noodles and cook 5 minutes until tender-crisp
Finish with lemon juice before serving

Notes

Use a spiralizer for fresh zucchini noodles
Add shredded mozzarella if desired
