Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Chicken (ground turkey works as an alternative)
- 1 package Wonton Wrappers (square wrappers hold shape best)
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger (grated finely)
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce (low-sodium)
- 3 stalks Green Onions (finely chopped including white parts)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
Instructions
- Combine the ground chicken, ginger, soy sauce, garlic, and green onions in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated and the meat feels slightly tacky.
- Prepare your steamer basket or non-stick skillet by lightly greasing the surface with a small amount of oil.
- Lay your wonton wrappers out on a clean surface in preparation for the rapid assembly process.
- Place a small spoonful of the meat mixture into the center of each wrapper carefully.
- Press the edges of the wonton skin together gently to create a loose bundle shape.
- Arrange the bundles in the pan or steamer without letting them touch one another during cooking.
- Steam or pan-fry these pieces according to the Viral Lazy Dumplings Recipe to reach the ideal internal temperature.
- Serve the final product immediately while the textures are at their peak for the best flavor experience.
Notes
Keep your meat mixture cold until assembly. Use a damp cloth to cover unused wonton wrappers while working to prevent drying out. Sear the bottoms of your dumplings for two minutes before adding water to create a crispy exterior texture. Do not overcrowd the pan. Store leftovers in an airtight container with parchment sheets in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or flash freeze for up to 1 month.
