Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut beef fat into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Remove visible connective tissue or meat.
  3. Place beef fat into a large heavy-bottomed pot.
  4. Add filtered water to the pot.
  5. Cook over low heat for about 3 hours.
  6. Stir occasionally while the fat slowly renders.
  7. Strain the liquid tallow through cheesecloth.
  8. Transfer strained tallow into a clean glass container.
  9. Allow the tallow to cool and fully solidify.
  10. Cut the solidified tallow into cubes.
  11. Place tallow cubes into a mixing bowl.
  12. Whip using an electric mixer for 5-10 minutes until fluffy.
  13. Transfer whipped beef tallow to clean glass jars.
  14. Seal tightly and store properly.

Notes
